Württemberg Sheep is characterized by good milk production. They can produce 150 l of milk during the period of six-month lactation.
Württemberg Merinoland Sheep has strong constitution, lively temperament, produces meat and wool, and the production of milk is also very well. The neck is of a medium length, with no skin folds. Breasts are quite wide and deep. The hull is of a medium length, but also sufficiently broad and deep, and the topline is flat.
The body weight of adult female sheep is from 70-75 kg, and for adult male sheep is from 100-120 kg. The average weight of lambs at birth is about 4.5 kg. Dressing percentage of lambs ranges from 52-56%, and can be up to 60%, and of adult sheep from 47-48%.

This race is one of the most respected breeds that was influenced by Merino. It originates in West Germany, in the province Württemberg and was named after it. After a long period (1786-1915) Württemberg Sheep was created for production of meat and wool.
